Spirit

Menuet Cognac is situated in St-Même Les Carrières, a charming village in the heart of the prestigious Grande Champagne, officially classified as the 1st Cru of Cognac.
The Grande Champagne soil, crumbly, chalky and mixed with clay, produces superior wine that when distilled by David C. Menuet becomes Menuet Cognac with its delightful bouquet of aromas and its lingering taste.
The Menuet family has cultivated vineyards in the Grande Champagne
since 1680.
However, it was in 1850 that Louis Menuet established
the house of Menuet Cognac and marketed Cognac under his family name.
In 1900 his son, Félix Menuet and his grandson Ernest, convinced of the exceptional quality of their Cognac, presented it at the Paris International Universal Exposition and were rewarded with the Gold Medal. Since this initial recognition of exceptional quality, six generations of men and women, winegrowers, distillers, cellar masters, and fearless travellers have carried on the Menuet family tradition.
